It's been a bit warm here in SoCal this week...
In fact, just when the rest of the country starts to cool down a little, we start to heat up.
August and September seem to be the hottest months here.
I have been dreaming of fall, though.
Crisp air, fallen leaves, fluffy sweaters, thick socks, riding boots...
And pumpkin patches surrounded by sunflowers.
With corn mazes and hayrides!
Oh yeah, fall is my FAVORITE time of year!
The Sunflowers are huge and the bees are busy!
Bins of colorful squash and mini pumpkins are overflowing!
Everything seems to be washed in warm Autumn light.
The pumpkins are ripe on the vine.
...And kids everywhere, (like my little guy here) run through the fields,
searching for their perfect pumpkins!
I love our trips to the pumpkin farm!
It's such fun, we often go 3 or 4 times before Halloween.
Everywhere you look, there is beauty.
And reminders that life is so sweet!
Life IS sweet!
Just like the honey made by the hard working bees!
I took these pics last year at the pumpkin farm.
I can't wait to go again this year!!!
I will be dreaming of fall all weekend, planning my fall decor, fun family outings, and longing to wear my cozy sweaters and boots!
What are you doing this weekend?
Whatever your plans, I hope you have a great one!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Fall is my most favorite time of year too! Your pictures are making me excited for it and I hope it comes sooner than later!
ReplyDeleteWow...those are fantastic pictures Lisa....the pumpkin farm is so awesome..and look how cute your little guy is!!...I love the white pumpkins...they get a bit pricey around here though....I may have to raid Jane and Leo's white pumpkin patch this year!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing.. job well done! We are seeing hints of fall weather coming here as the tops of some of the trees are turning. It seems way to early for this... or has time flown by that quickly??!! Lucky you to have such a fabulous pumpkin farm. My boys loved going to one when they were little, as did I. Thanks for the preview of what is to come!
