Shopping and Antiquing Around Nashville.

Today I want to share a few of my favorite places to go antiquing near Nashville, TN. Whenever I am in town visiting my family, I never miss a chance to head out to Franklin, TN ( a suburb of Nashville,) to do some hunting and gathering in my favorite little stores.

Franklin is a beautiful little old town that has recently undergone some new changes to it's already very charming town center. There are many fabulous eateries, specialty shops, boutiques, etc.

On the edge of town are some wonderful Antique and Home Decor stores. Some of my favorites are...

Barn Door Antiques. They have a fab old red Chevy truck out front! I could not resist a pic or two!

My son is my little shopping companion. He loves old toys, and always scouts them out!

Love the old frame with wire fencing. It's so clever for hanging jewelry, displaying photos, even holiday cards!

I was drawn to these little beauties! Maybe in my Master bed or bath?

My Next stop was a home decor store called Harmony Home. They have furniture, home decor, seasonal decor, and a great floral department with some nice faux greenery.

Loved this pedestal table with it's nice patina finish.
Seasonal trees and decorations.

I really liked this chair! I have the perfect spot for it in my family room.

The store has two cats. My son found one asleep on the placemats.
 The floral section.
Clever of the store to have a fun spot for the kiddos!

My next stop was the Franklin Antique Mall. This place is so fun!
It is in an old ice house. A very charming old brick building. The perfect setting for antiques!

Aren't these old doors sooooo gorgeous? Super bad pic quality! Sorry!
They have a lot of different dealers, specializing in different things. There is truly something for everyone!
 I liked this silhouette vignette.
 Tin ad signs.
Awesome factory cart, turned coffee table. Want. one. now.
 Old soda crates.
And something for the guys too!
Mr. W is a camera guy, so I know he would get a kick out of these vintage cameras. We have a few on shelves at home already.
Cool, right?
This was such a cute wood shelf. I am a sucker for all white pottery too.
Finally, something for the vintage kitchen.

Stay tuned for part two of my little adventure! Happy New Year everyone! I'm off to make a list of my 2012 home projects! I am also working on getting a home tour up on my blog. Busy, busy! :-)

  1. My son and family live in Nashville, too. I LOVE Franklin. Would live there if I could. I have not seen the barn place before. I must find it next time. Did go to the antique shop last time and found one set of antlers. That was it. Thanks for stopping by.
