Good Morning!
Today I am going to show you how I embellished my Fabric Painted Pillows from an earlier post, with quick burlap rosettes. *Disclaimer* By NO means am I handy with a needle and thread. It is something I need to work on this year, along with learning how to use my brand new (10 yrs. ago) sewing machine that is still in it's box. I know I shouldn't admit that I've had a sewing machine for over a decade that I have never used, but I'm just keepin' it real for ya, people! I do cringe a bit when thinking about all of the great projects that I could have accomplished had I known how to use it, but I am choosing not to beat myself up over it.
Here are the pillows just after I finished the stripe painting on them...
And here they are with their new little rosettes...
And here is what how I made them...you will need a strip of burlap, needle and thread, scissors, and a large button for the center.
I started on the bathroom counter, but switched to the downstairs counter so I could spread out...and the coffee was down there. ;-)
I just started making a loop, then I turned it about a quarter, then made another, and so on...
Until I had 5 loops, I think. Then I stitched the button on in the center, and stitched the burlap rosette to the pillow. Hopefully it will stay on, given my sad sewing skills! :-)
Ta-da!
There you have it! Let's see the finished product once more...
Well, that wraps up my 2 minute craft!
Hope you all have a great day!
