~ Happy Tuesday! ~
I hope everyone you are all enjoying your summer!
I think I need to get out from behind this computer, and get to the beach! I'm picturing myself under my beach umbrella, reading my kindle with my toes in the sand.
Of course in reality, I'm more likely to be the victim of wild sand flinging, while the little guy tries to construct a "village" out of sand!
(Maybe I should take an actual book, and leave the Kindle at home, sand-free.)
Today I am sharing another quick project I did with more of those peel and stick chalk labels I cut to size, and my trusty chalk pen. (So much better than chalk!)
Weird, in the pics the labels almost look blue. They are normal chalkboard gray black.
It is a fun little update for my Ikea barstools. As you may know, we are in the middle of a kitchen reno, so this room will look a whole lot different very soon!
I think that in the last couple of weeks, I have successfully demonstrated my love for all things chalkboard!
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Girl! Sorry I didn't get to say good-bye to you. I hope you made it home ok. I so enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you. I felt we meshed right from the beginning. You are a beautiful, strong woman and I am happy to consider your a friend. Love your blog and look forward to looking around more. Your barstools are simply darling. Love me some chalkboard paint. Hope you are well and settling in after Haven. talk soon, xxoo Barb
ReplyDeleteBarb,
DeleteYou are too sweet! I loved getting to know you at Haven, and I feel the same about meshing from the start! You are a such a sweetheart, and a total crack up! :-)
p.s. I was just talking about you with the hubs last night!

these are too cute! i love chalkboard everything. :) i did a chalkboard bookcase i posted on monday! maybe it comes from the fact that i love to doodle and draw and chalkboard paint makes it possible to doodle on anything. nothing is impossible with chalkboard paint. :)
ReplyDeleteCassie,
DeleteI loved your cute green bookcase with the chalkboard back!
Adorable!!

Let's totally run off to the beach!! I promise not to throw any sand at you. ;)
ReplyDeleteDinner was so lovely! I totally agree with a big pajama party at the next Haven! Something else that would be fun is like a speed dating thing were we all have the chance to sit down for five minutes and get to know every single person there. Although that would probably take forever!
And finally - these chairs are adorable! I love the dark chalkboard with the wood stain - it is a fabulous contrast!!
Thanks Skye!!
DeleteYou are so sweet!
I am thinking that 250 plus ladies in their Pj's would really raise some eyebrows with the hotel staff and other guests!! Haha!! -But, it would be so fun!

Love it! It's always fun to do a quick and easy project.
ReplyDeletePam,

Very cute project. I've never seen those lables. Do they come in sheets? I love me some chalk board too and I know I'd find lots of fun things to do with them..
ReplyDeleteGretchen,
DeleteI am trying very hard to restrain myself, and NOT label everything in the house!
I looked at Home Goods last night, and did not see anymore, but I will let you know if I find more somewhere...

ReplyDeleteShirley,

It's ok to have a love affair with chalkboards - just don't tell your husband!
