~ Hi Everyone! ~
I know I've been really bad about posting lately.
I have been re-working the blog in my head, and I have also been working on getting selections made for the kitchen reno.
Hope you have all had a great weekend. I know it's been really hot across the country.
Here in So Cal the temps have been great, so you won't hear me complaining.
Mr W is scheduled to go fight the Colorado wildfires with his squadron. They are one of 3 aerial fire fighting units in the country. He really loves doing it, but it's a dangerous mission.
They fly VERY low over these huge fires, and dump fire retardant out the back of the airplane with the help of a special unit.
So, I thought that today I would give you a glimpse of what I did with those cute vintage hooks I found at the ReStore a few weeks ago for 50 cents each.
He needed a place to hang his crazy dress up hats, and his beloved green flight suit (Just like Daddy's). Like most kids his age, he loves to put on crazy costumes and hats.
Originally, I was going to mount the hooks on an old piece of wood, but then laziness won out, and I decided I really liked the look of them screwed directly into the wall anyway. A win-win for me! ;-)
The pic above the hooks is actually one that my husband took, while attached to a harness and hanging out the back of another airplane in front of those two. Yeah, he's crazy like that. If he's not flying one, he's finding new ways to photograph his buddies flying them.
I think they look cute, and it's so much easier than the contraption I had on the back of his door. The door would not open all the way with all of those things hanging on it!
See you tomorrow with a post about all of the wonderful thrifty treasures I found garage sale-ing and thrifting this week! I hit the JACKPOT!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love his room! Especially the colors. And, the hooks are perfect for all his hats and such. That little flight suit is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWhy thanks, Lauren! I know, the flight suit kills me!
DeleteHope all is well with you!
