A-Thrifting I Will Go...

~ Happy Sunday! ~

I hope you are enjoying your weekend! It is a beautiful day here in Southern California.
I woke up early, and did some major house cleaning. We are having some friends over for dinner tonight, and I wanted to get an early start on things.

I have a very busy week ahead. It is the little guy's last week of school, (finally) and it seems like everyone we know has a senior graduating right now!

As soon as I finish up here, I am off to the mall to look for a few new things to wear for all of the upcoming events.

Back to the reason for this post...
I found some fantastic things while I was out thrifting this past week!

I cant wait to share them with you!

I found this vintage ironing board. I think it's for helping with small things, and shirt sleeves?
I think it looks cute in my laundry room.
I paid $3.99 at the GW.
My weird urn from last week's thrifty finds also found a home in my (outdated, but on the re-do list) laundry room.

This week I found some fantastic vintage books, and some more ironstone!!
I found some french Limoges plates for 99 cents each, also at the GW.

Six plates for six bucks! Ya can't beat that with a stick! ;-)
(I am such a geek!)

I love the basket weave pattern on these!

I also found a nice set of S+P shakers that are English Ironstone.
Only $8. I love them, and I already have the creamer and sugar in this pattern in my collection.

I also found some great vintage books this week at the GW. These Buffalo Bill and Geronimo were only 79 cents each! They were printed in the 1950's.

These books were just cool, and I liked the subjects, since we love to travel.

These last two books were VERY unique. They were printed in 1922. What really grabbed me, was the way these were illustrated in both color, and black and white.
Fabulous!!

Here are some examples of the illustrations...

All of the leather bound hard cover books were $2.49 ea. What a bargain!

Oops...Also got this sweet kid's book from the '50's for 79 cents. It has really cute illustrations too!

So that's my loot for this week!

Did you go thrifting?

I'd love to hear about what you found!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

See you tomorrow. I will be sharing a really fun project, so stop in and check it out!

    1. I had a copy of this book when I was a kid. I loved it. The illustrations remind me a bit of the illustrations in Ferdinand the Bull.

      Thanks for stopping by!
