Pinspiration for the Week, and Some Quiet Time.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by today. I gotta tell ya, it's been a bit stressful the last couple of days. I store all of my photos on an external hard drive, and Friday evening while I was planning Saturday's post, I discovered that my computer was not recognizing my external hard drive at all!!! Hopefully we will be able to recover all of the data and images, but meanwhile, everything I had photographed and posts I had planned in advance are gone...for now. :-(

So this morning, I thought I would look through my pins for the week. Are you on Pinterest yet? If not, check out my pin boards, and follow me here. It is awesome! Electronic hoarding for the obsessive compulsives, AND everyone else! BTW, I fall under the OCD category, and I make no apologies. :-) Pinterest is the perfect forum for creativity, and to gather together planned projects and ideas. You can tailor your pin boards to whatever interests or inspires you, OR you can just admire the pins of the people you choose to follow. So, check it out. I hope you'll become one of my followers!

Here are some of the pins that caught my eye this week...
Montmartre. Paris, France. Because I am SO ready to go back there!
Healthy Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Trying this delicious recipe one night this week.
Ca-ute spring outfit inspiration! I love a great blazer. I own way too many of them. Thankfully most all were major bargains!
Pretty succulents. Inspired me to buy some of my own, and place them around the house. I showed them to you in this post, here.

Adorable monogram necklace. Cute pop of color for your spring outfits!
Pantry organization. I have am forever doing and re-doing this, but mine never comes out this great, or stays looking this way for long. *sigh*
Tranquil bedroom. Pretty spring colors.
Love this cotton bouquet.
Breathtaking!! I want to see that in person!
Loving this black and green combo for spring! Cute bag, and cami!
Craft project? Maybe with canvas and scrapbook paper instead of fabric? I think I will try it! (In neutrals to go with my decor.)
Vintage photo gift tags. Great for topping family gifts!
It's spring, so there needs to be a beautiful bird's nest included, don't you think? I am awed by this little hummingbird's nest!
Gorgeous landscape!

So, check out Pinterest, and I'm sorry, in advance, for any addiction this may trigger for you! Bwah-haha. (That's my evil laugh.)
I am going to flip through my latest PB catalog, and a few mags with my coffee, then go for a nice long walk before diving into the rest of my day!

I love Pottery Barn!
Cheers! Spinach-Berry smoothie & Coffee w/cocoanut creamer!
See you tomorrow!

Antiquing in SoCal Part 2.

Good Morning!

It's a great morning here at Casa BDG (Budget Design Girl)! The little guy and I are both sitting at the kitchen island "working".  I am blogging, and he is busy drawing his fire station. He loves to draw and create. (Just like his mama.)

Well, I thought I should bring you the rest of my little antiquing excursion from a few days ago. Today I will be showing you Bungalow Antiques. It is a FABULOUS store. In fact, before my son came along, I was an antique dealer, and rented a space in this store.

Bunglalow Antiques
28859 Agoura Rd.
Agoura Hills, CA 91301
818-879-8698

Entry was all dressed for Valentines Day. I Love the driftwood heart, and hearts with wings, ok and the sign...so everything!

Pretty brown transferware in my friend Cheryl's booth. Love it.

 Sparkling vintage champagne glasses.
Cool iron equine door knocker, I think? I am trying to figure out where in my house I can hang this. I think I must go back and buy him. I can't stop thinking about it! That's how I know I really love something!
Vintage metal medical cabinet. So cool! Would be cute in a bathroom for towel storage.
 Vintage silver/silver plate.

I love this booth! She has lots of ironstone, and pops of green everywhere. So pretty.
 Majolica plates.
Ironstone and cows. Just noticed the large cow pitcher!!! Just like the one I snagged for $1.50 thrifting this week!! Now I have to go back, and see what price she has on hers. I love to know the extent of my bargains!
My friend Cheryl's other booth. She is an AMAZING talent! What an eye for composition and design she has!
Unfortunately, I only had my iPhone with me, so pic quality leaves a lot to be desired! I was not planning on featuring the stores, but then I started snapping pics of the things that caught my eye, and I thought why not? Next time I will take the good camera!
I bought these GORGEOUS pillows from Cheryl's booth. I will show you, (later this week) how I plan to use them to transform and update one of the rooms in my house.
Sometimes, inspiration for a whole room can come from a small accessory like a great pillow!

Cool vignette. Love the hat and signs.

More cool hats. Vintage military? French maybe? I'm not sure. Look at that Alligator or Croc bag!!!
I guess I need further education on both old hats, and large reptiles! Ha!
Pretty vignette. Love the painting against the wood background!
Ironstone plates and paper covered letters.
These chairs were so cool! They are covered in perfectly distressed vintage suede, and the nailhead trim has the most awesome antiqued brass patina. I actually brought one of these home to try in my bedroom, thinking I would buy both, but I just couldn't make them work. :-(   Boo.
Lovely. Like the horn, and silver.

 Mason jars and silver.
 Pretty linen hearts.
I love this dealer's booth as well!! So many great things to see.

 Vintage door sign.

 Cute pillow.
Awesome model Gee Bee Airplane suspended from the ceiling. Believe-you-me, my son LOVED this!

Well, that about covers it! And now, after looking at the photos, I think I have to go back there today and check on a few things...

Have a great weekend!
We have Valentine Airplanes to finish. Oh joy! ;-)

Spring Inspiration.

I'm not sure why, but I have really been thinking about Spring this week. Maybe it's due to the inspirational pics Iv'e seen on Pinterest? ...Everything from home decor, to flowers, to cute spring fashion! Take a look...

 Yep, those are brussels sprouts!

 Spring tablescape.

 Beautiful bedroom.

Sweet little moss pots. Oh, I WILL be making these!

Cute home office, with pops of apple green. Very Spring, indeed!

Beautiful blue butterfly. I would love to actually see one this color!

Cute little pink striped settee @ Sophia's, in her little girl's room.

 Whimsical door decor for Spring!

Spring eggs in a frame.

 Adorable wreath!

Gorgeous tulips. *sigh* I love tulips!

We can't forget St. Paddy's Day!

And finally, a cute Spring outfit. I would probably change the heels for cute little ankle boots, or driving mocs for running around town.Heels are cute for a dressy lunch, though!

Have a great weekend! My plan is to hit the stores tomorrow during the Super Bowl, for a little quiet shopping! :-)
